be active for better balance

If you want to have a strong balance: Be active!

“Spending time outdoors, walking, running, hiking, and riding a bike will make your muscles stronger, coordination better, and balance stronger.

As I often advise my elderly patients, if there is one recommendation to enhance overall balance, it is simply walking. Engaging in outdoor activities like walking in a park, especially on uneven terrain, is proven to be the most effective exercise for strengthening all balance systems and the brain centers responsible for their coordination. Conversely, succumbing to inactivity due to fear of falling or balance problems can be detrimental. If your balance is already too bad to let you engage in activities, vestibular rehabilitation could help you with the first step.
