Ear wax is very important and necessary for the health of the ear skin.

Importance of earwax:

Earwax (cerumen) is essential for the health of the external auditory canal. It helps create an acidic pH environment that prevents the proliferation of pathogenic bacteria, maintains the skin's barrier function, and prevents skin diseases. Ear picking displaces this secretion, irritates the sensitive ear skin, and invites external otitis. Additionally, disturbing the ear can increase secretion production, leading to blockages and other issues. Therefore, it's best to avoid touching the inside of the ear.

If drying the external ear canal is necessary, I would recommend using a hairdryer (blowing cold air).
